To join in, you must register and pay for your spot through the Playtomic app. This is essential for us to manage the numbers. No booking, no play.
We cap our socials at 24 players. This ensures the evening runs smoothly and that you’re never waiting more than 40 minutes for your next game.
You are guaranteed at least two 20-minute games. Depending on the final number of players for the evening, we always aim to give you more court time.
Passion is part of the game, and we all have our moments. But a bad shot is never an excuse for a bad attitude. Respect your partner, your opponents, and the equipment. Laugh it off and focusing on the next point will always serve you better than abusing the equipment (on or off the court), shouting, screaming or losing your cool.
If you've booked but can't make it, please cancel your spot on the app as early as possible. It gives another player a chance to join and helps us keep the games balanced for everyone.
Part of the fun at socials is mixing skill levels. Some games you'll be the student, learning from someone with more experience. Other games you'll be the teacher, sharing what you know with someone newer to the game. That's how we all get better together.
The important bits you need to know before you contribute
Month-to-month contributions: All contributions run month-to-month with no long-term contracts. We're still figuring out the perfect balance, so contribution amounts may change as we learn what works best for everyone. Our ultimate goal is to get contributions much lower for all-hours access and kids for free - that's the dream, and these current rates are our starting point.
Play as much as you like - within reason: Your contribution hours aren't capped, and we actively encourage you to get on court as much as possible. That's the whole point! However, if usage becomes excessive and threatens the club's sustainability or other contributors' access to courts, we reserve the right to discuss restrictions with those contributors. This policy exists to protect everyone's ability to play while keeping our doors open.
Four-player minimum: All court bookings must be for four players. If fewer players show up, you'll need to pay a top-up equal to the missing players at the non-contributor rate (R90 per person per hour) before you can start playing. For example, if only two players arrive, that's an additional R180 to be paid on the spot.
Mix and match welcome: Your group can include any combination of contributors and guests—guests play at R90 per person per hour.
High school program takes precedence: Once our high school program launches (date to be confirmed), those time slots will be protected for student use. If you have existing bookings during designated school hours at the time of launch, your booking may need to be moved. We'll give you as much notice as possible and help you find alternative times.
Give us 7 days notice: Changes to your contribution level or cancellations require 7 days written notice.
Monthly billing: Contributions are billed monthly in advance. Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of booking privileges until accounts are brought up to date.
Respect the space and each other: We expect all contributors to treat the facilities, equipment, and fellow players with respect. Damage to facilities or equipment may result in repair charges. Behaviour that negatively impacts other contributors' experience may result in contribution review or termination.
We reserve the right to modify: The club reserves the right to update policies, contribution amounts, and terms as needed to ensure smooth operations and contributor satisfaction. Contributors will be given reasonable notice of any significant changes.
Memberships are non-transferable: The benefits, bookings, and access apply only to the registered member.
Memberships are for individual use only. Bookings and member benefits are exclusively available to the account holder and cannot be shared with others
